Veterans Sailing Program supports Paralympic Movement
Sometimes we come across things that are so cool they’re inspiring. This one was passed to me by a friend of the company who saw the natural connection for the Veteran Beer Company.
“Thanks to a grant from the US Paralympic Committee, Team Paradise on Biscayne Bay (Miami, FL) began a Veteran’s Sailing program in the fall of 2012. What better source to find the next generations of Paralympic Sailors than the US Military? New talent of physically disabled men and women, often young, but regardless of age, no strangers to discipline and teamwork.”
When Veterans rise above their disabling line of duty injuries and achieve greatness, it inspires us all. This story is about a grass roots campaign by Military Veterans to support the Paralympic Movement and the growth of sailing through the Veterans Sailing Program.
